As I was driving to my little sleepy hometown yesterday to visit my family, I had an hour on the road to think about my birthday and where I was in my life, and how never in a million years would I have believed that I would be where I am right now. It’s a beautiful place to be in and I’m so joyful to be here, in fact, I’d rather be no other place, but it’s not what I had planned.
Just less than a year ago, I was busily packing up belongings for a household of 6 with two dogs to boot.
Preparing once again to move and set up life in another state as I had done 19 times prior. Moving, packing and taping boxes became second nature to me.
It’s interesting when the power of attraction gets going and how when we get on a momentum with our thoughts what begins to happen. How quickly that momentum is like a roaring locomotive and to try and stop such a momentum of thoughts is pretty much impossible. When this happens, the best thing to do is to simply let it happen, as if you have fallen from an airplane. Just hold tight it’ll be over in a minute.
That’s pretty much what I did. I heard a song on the radio and where I’d normally control my thoughts precisely, I had already fallen from the airplane. I was just allowing myself to fall, knowing it’d be over soon. I began bawling like a baby, and then slowly allowed myself to just feel my way through the emotions. Our emotions are our most important tools for building a beautiful life.
I can honestly say that I had no plans to be a single woman, living across the country away from my children, while my ex-husband does the rest of the parenting alone.
To say that it’s not easy to be away from my children is an understatement, but it’s amazing how capable the human spirit is to survive.
Many don’t know the story of Mitch and me, nor will anyone ever really know all of the details, except for he and I, nor are they truly important to anyone. What happens between two people that get together is no one’s business, nor is their separating anyone’s business either.
It’s understandable that people want to know details. I think that’s the human curiosity, but really it’s of no use to relive situations over and over again. It benefits no one long-term.
I must say I am very happy in my life, honestly, I’ve never been happier!
I’ve had to really focus on what is beautiful about my life daily. It really just takes great focus on what I want, instead of focusing on what I don’t want in life.
With the Law of Attraction, I have come to realize it’s an inclusive universe. You get what you want if you think about what you want. If you focus on what you don’t want, you will get just that; more and more of what you don’t want. It’s quite simple once we begin to realize, it’s all about how we focus.
The days of me having really bad days are far and few between. I have trained myself to only see and visualize what I want in life. And that is exactly what I’m getting. The universe doesn’t hear what we say, the universe only hears what we mean. So it’s very important that we are definitive with our thoughts.
Here’s a question for you.
Have you ever noticed, if you have a crappy day, and one thing leads to another, and you realize, “My day is terrible and it’s only getting worse?” It’s simply because we have 17 seconds of a momentum and its down hill from there. Law of attraction will draw everything to us, depending on our thoughts. If they are crappy thoughts, everything crappy latches on and takes you on a roll. The opposite is true if you think great thoughts. Everything great latches on and before you know it you are having a beautiful day.
There are a lot of things in life that we can think about and focus on, but why would we want to focus on things that are negative. It truly is just a thought that we have thought over and over again, and that’s what we have created. BS- a belief system.
To retrain ourselves we have to learn to only focus on positive things. It’s not hard once you practice doing it over and over.
Using our inner being as our guidance system. If a thought feels bad, refocusing our thoughts immediately is essential in mastery and true internal joy.
By learning what things cause us to focus negatively we must then realize what those things are. Whether it be politics, TV shows, songs, anything in our lives that cause us to have negative emotions, we should try and eliminate them. It would be like eating bad food and saying,” this tastes horrible” but continuing to eat it and asking for more.
Why would we do that? Habit! It’s pure and simple. It’s just a habit.
So try this little exercise.
When you wake up tomorrow morning, think of anything that makes it easy for you to think of love. Find something or someone that’s easy to love, and before you know it, you’ll be on a wonderful momentum.
Keep practicing and you’ll be on your way to eternal bliss and joy.
It sounds easy.
That’s because it is.
